We hired Husk after interviewing 3 other firms. Husk (Dan) shared and added to our vision. Dialogue was positively focused on achieving the end goal while addressing issues along the way. His pre-assessment of his capabilities/able to handle issues was spot on...any new issues uncovered were due to the usual "unknowns" with construction. He handled the permit process nicely...and we discuss findings from the city and resolutions along the way. Always asked permission to work weekends and the M-F start/end times were reasonable. Billing was standard. The end product looks great...4 month out. The attention and follow through we got from a smaller operation like's Husk exceeded our expectations.

Daniel re-did the siding on the west and east facing sides of our home. He did an amazing job of replacing the cedar shingles and a damaged window on the second story. He designed a beautiful alternative for the gables on both sides that helped us save on cost and made the house look amazing.

Husk did repair of woodpecker holes and water damage to the siding around our chimney. To add to the challenge, the chimney is 35 feet high and the roof pitch is very steep. Dan took all that in stride. He was the only contractor that fully assessed the situation and recommended a sound solution. Others would have done a patch job. Communication throughout the process was exceptional with regular status updates and photos of the parts you can't see from the ground. There was minimal disruption and noise while work was being done. We couldn't be happier with the finished job. Will definitely use Husk again.
